Serves: 25 bite sized balls


  • 20 dates
  • 1 cup hazelnut meal
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 3 table spoons honey
  • 1 tea spoon of vanilla essence
  • 4 table spoons raw cacao
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut


1. Soak dates in hot water

2. Roughly chop the soaked dates, then place in blender and whizz until they form a paste

3. Place hazelnut meal in the blender, plus the almond meal, honey, vanilla and cacao. Blend until smooth.

4. Place mixture into a bowl.

5. Scoop out teaspoon size portions of the mixture and roll into bite size balls. Roll the balls in the coconut

6. Store in refrigerator.
